Downgrading will require a reset to defaults.
Try to reset the 1.4.16 to defaults. Hold the reset button 30 seconds.
See if the unit comes up with 192.168.2.1.
Otherwise to continue with the downgrade, create the do_flash_upgrade directory and follow the instructions.
